Just can't live without

These are 5 items I've been buying as soon as they run out, some even before they've ran out! The toner is my second bottle of it and it still makes my skin feel amazing. The barry m brush is either the second or third one I've had, although the cheaper brushes are usually quite crappy and the bristles all fall out, these ones are great and stay soft for ages! The garnier make up remover is a bit of a love and hate item as it depends on my skin. Sometimes it can make it feel really greasy and sometimes I love it. I've been buying this repeatedly since the middle of last year mind you, so I think it's here to stay. Ah I'm so happy I found the Rimmel Stay matte collection! This is my second of the pressed powders and it's nearly out again! Although I put on quite a generous amount throughout the day they last me quite a while. The in-shower moisturiser is my second bottle and this one must be different to my last as it's a lot less thick and actually does wash off really easily. Either way, I love it.

Rimmel Stay Matte to stay?

As I mentioned the other day, I've been looking around at different foundations ready for a nice moisturising one for the winter. I've been looking at quite a few adverts but not actually bought any due to the fact I still have a full bottle of my Natural Collection one and wouldn't want to waste it! That being said, I bought my monthly Cosmo and got a free sample of the Rimmel Stay Matte foundation. It can be bought in pretty much most Rimmel selling stores for around £5-£7

This is a picture of the actual bottle on the sample for anyone who hasn't seen it knocking about. The sample was in 100 Ivory, which scared me a little as I tend to buy the one after ivory as my skin can be quite pale. Although the sample was pretty small, it did actually cover my whole face. That's always a big issue for me when trying free foundation samples, I don't want to start and then end up with only enough to do half my face! 

This is the colour of the foundation and it's very moussey. It doesn't really cake itself on like some mousse foundations can be guilty of. I do like the product but I read somewhere online that it's perfumed, so I'm not sure how well this will work with my sensitive skin. The reason I tend to stick to the same foundation is that my skin does have the horrible habit of breaking out if it doesn't agree with the new one.

I also bought the Stay Matte long lasting powder a while ago as I seem to be going through my loose powder so quickly nowadays. This one is in Peach glow and is really great for covering any unwanted shine which is the main reason I use powder anyway. 

Really happy with how smooth my face looks! It has made my face look a tad dry in places though, especially between my eyes but that's only really noticeable up close.

I'm not entirely sure if this foundation is the product for me but I will admit it is pretty good for a smooth look.

Has anyone else tried it? What did you think?

A cheeky little buy

So I went out to get milk and strawberries (random purchase I know!) and once again seemed to have found my way to the make up section of Morrisons..

Only two things, and they were on sale so it's technically not that bad.. 

Left : Mylene Klass Wrap round nails

Right : Rimmel eyeshadow trio (76 sapphire moonstone)

So first let's talk about the nails. I've been seeing these wrap round nails for ages now and seeing as I'm not the best at drawing with my left hand, thought this would be better than trying a nail art pen. They were pretty easy to apply; just press the rounded edge to your cuticle and smooth down then file off the excess with the handy file included. This is all well and good but if you have teeny nails like I do, there aren't enough of the smaller wraps to fit and you end up with some overhang on the side of your nail. A bit like when you get that annoying bit of skin that's somehow decided to split and is a nightmare to get off! Doubt they'll last long but at least they didn't cost a lot.

Anyway, here's the finished product - not looking terribly awful.

Now for the eyes. I have a little problem with eyeshadow I must admit.. my make up bag is full with pretty much mostly eyeshadow palletes and I'm always buying more! I have quite a few of these Rimmel trio's now and they're great for a quick and easy look thats not too plain. This was reduced from £6 odd down to £3.48. Not entirely sure why as there was nothing wrong with the box and nothing was missing, but hey not gonna complain at saving money!

Again, pretty easy to apply as there's instructions on the back as to which colour goes where.

As you can see it's quite dark, the pink doesn't really do much, but it's only a highlighting colour for the top anyways. There is a brush included in the pack, but I always prefer to use my trusty UBU smokey eye brushes (available from most Asda and Tesco stores) which are great for creating lines and blending the colours together. Although I like dark eyeshadow, I'd say this one is better suited for a night out or special occasion rather than everyday wear :)
